Pilates is a type of exercise and body conditioning. It highlights precise movements, controlled breathing, and muscle engagement, enhancing muscle tone and stability. Pilates focuses on core strength through structured exercises and slowly gets more challenging. The Pilates method (including the reformer apparatus) were invented in the early 20th century by German physical trainer Joseph Pilates and have evolved and expanded.

Private sessions are a great way to get the most out of your sessions as a beginner. If you are interested in booking a private session, email info@fortepilatesstudio.com.

Congratulations, Mama! First and foremost, every woman experiences each trimester differently. It is important to listen to your body as not all pregnancies are the same.
Our policy: All pregnant clients can attend group classes during their first trimester, but must inform the instructor that they are pregnant. All pregnant clients will be required to provide a doctor's note taking classes during their second or third trimester. Pregnant students in their second trimester must adhere to instructor prenatal modification. To be on the safe side we start modifying at around 14-16 weeks. Our goal is to maintain a safe and positive experience for all clients at Forte Pilates.
We will be offering pre and postnatal classes on our schedule as well.
If you are interested in booking a private session, email info@fortepilatesstudio.com.

Congratulations, Mama! Please get cleared from your doctor before returning to practice (~6-12 weeks depending). We suggest booking a few private sessions while you are easing back into movement so that we can build out a training plan tailored to fit your needs. Otherwise, please book our fundamentals classes and inform the instructor so that we can provide modifications for you.
